Feast of St. John Vianney, Patron of Priests
Saint John Vianney, patron of priests, was raised during the French Revolution when Catholics, and especially priests, had to hide from the government in order to receive and administer the Sacraments. This inspired Saint John Vianney greatly, and he became a parish priest in Ars, France. May his priestly example inspire us all, especially those of us who have a priestly vocation.
